No More Buzz
It sure has been quiet around here since the end of the giveaway. I miss the chatter and the mailbox traffic I got with Ellen Joy and Joanne coming over everyday to leave multiple comments! 🙂
Having done the giveaway has made me realize how much I’ve been missing out by not regularly visiting other bloggers. I mean, you know, when you read about a blogger’s everyday thoughts, it’s like getting to know them. But when you just go over, drop your EC, or Adgitize, but don’t bother to read enough and leave a comment, you may be a daily visitor but you don’t get to know the person any more than his/her badge.
At the same time, if you visit everyday and hang on to a particular blogger’s every word (like I do for my favorite blogs), but then you don’t leave your feedback. No comments come from you. You deprive yourself of that chance to get them yet on another level. And you deprive yourself the chance to be noticed by them. Though of course, getting their attention isn’t anywhere near my goal for stalking their blogs.
At work, it’s been quiet for me too. And that’s good.
And you know what? My eye muscles have stopped twitching.* Yay!
*Which means I am now relatively stress-free, and I no longer have to worry about finding affordable health insurance to add on to what I already have. I am on my way to health and wellness! LOL 🙂

Well at least your giveaway had been a hit. My blogversary contest was a failure 🙁
I agree with you. In fact, I visit back co-bloggers that leave a comment on my blog rather than those who just dropped by my shout box 🙂

I have Give up on Adgitising I pay for my ad and let the Traffic Come to My blog so I can Do my Own thing. It’s sometimes quite depressing to See 50 or more Visitors a Day and not get a second Page view let alone a comment. The worst thing about Adgitising is that Many Blogs Load Very Slowly and I am A Page Speed freak and hate looking at Such Sites then when I do Adgitize my Eyes are sore from all the Java Script on many of the Pages

Hey Vera! Just got back from the Tagaytay trip which I didn’t really enjoy much as I really missed my lappy… and I wasn’t able to really “travel” coz I couldn’t walk much (preggy effect.. tsktsk). 🙁

You practically put into words what goes on in my mind everytime I go online and blog hop. I know there are only a few people who actually stay to read the contents of my blog and I’m grateful to them. It’s just sad that some people are…well..touch and go? You try to reach out to them through your posts but they don’t want to reach out in return. That’s hard. Life is not a one way street. You have to meet halfway every now and then.

I knew a lot of us felt this way. On the other hand, I also just tell myself that i got into blogging in the first place as a medium for self expression. Having the sense of community came after that. So if readers don’t particularly want to comment, I’m okay with it too. That won’t mean I will tire of coaxing a comment from each of you when I can though. Hehe 🙂
You will find that when your posts are most sincere, and well thought of, they will come out of their shells and eventually comment away. without being forced to, like what I’ve done with the giveaway. haha 🙂

I want to go to Tagaytay too but the boyfriend isn’t very interested. When you give birth, a few months later, you can take the babies up there for a breath of fresh air. Then maybe you can walk a little more freely 🙂

I can’t give up on Adgitize just yet. Maybe once I’ve built up a solid reader base who will keep coming back without Adgitize and Entrecard, then I can turn my back on it. But right now I appreciate the traffic it gives me, just as much as I appreciate the great blogs I have found through it.
I do try to stay away from those sites that load slow, or have not much that interest me. You kinda remember their ads anyway so you know to stay away, right? 🙂
