Ramblings and Brain farts

iPad WordPress App

Hi everyone! Testing the WordPress app for my iPad here. so fair haven’t been able to set a title for the post but let’s see how it will go once I try publishing.

Above image was captured using my Blackberry, tweeted via Plixi and then edited from here. I guess that’s just me maximizing my gadget and using it for more than just a browsing and gaming device πŸ™‚

Badge

My verabear badge has been the same since I joined Entrecard about two years ago. It’s patterned after the theme I designed when I was using Blogspot (http://verabear.blogspot.com). When I moved to WordPress and called my blog Where the Moon Shines, I didn’t make a new badge. I figured that I’d just make one when I change themes again, which still hasn’t happened. Besides, making a badge isn’t as easy as it seems.

But I realized I should put up badges here for my other blogs. After all, I should advertise my own blogs alongside space provided for EC and Adgitize bloggers. I’ve had a badge for the Newbie Photographer for a while because I use it for the Adgi ads.

Today, I finally have a badge for my book reaction blog, Between the Covers:

Does this mean I’ll be getting ads for BTC too? Well I haven’t decided yet, but at least it already has its own badge. πŸ™‚ I have so many new posts over there too, so why don’t you go hop on over? Let’s test the new commenting system I’ve installed there while you’re at it. Thanks in advance! πŸ™‚

October Comments and Top EC

So October is over and I’ve only logged 103 comments. That’s 30 comments lower compared to end of September stats. Hmm. This time, I blame it on the truffles πŸ™‚ But that’s okay. There’s always next month, and the new ticker is up too πŸ™‚

I wonder how many comments my October Top Commenter on Where the Moon Shines did? Well, it’s a total of 14 comments on this blog, and how many comments on other people’s blogs I wonder? Well wonder no more, and wander all you can, for October’s Top Commenter is none other than, Joanne/Zoan!

Thanks Z! πŸ™‚

And now, time to thank my Top Droppers for Entrecard too. It’s interesting how this month list compares to September’s. I’ve got mostly new badges to show this time around! Wow, thanks for dropping your cards and commenting too:)

I’ve purchased ad space from your blogs via EC already. Thank you again!

So we’re off to start a new month. Looking forward to anything new this month? Well I am. I’m starting at a new company on Monday, and it’s bound to be an adventure!

Is it too early for a Christmas Tree?

This is a preview of a beautiful wallpaper from Digital Blasphemy (click photo to get to his site)

Have you setup your Christmas tree? Will you have one this year? We’re probably. We haven’t put up a Christmas tree in years! I guess it’s mainly because kids don’t come up here too often anymore. But we used to get it out on the second week of December. My cousins still setup their big tree downstairs, so that’s where the gifts go every year πŸ™‚

I know at least one family who has their tree up already, not sure if they’ve had it up since September even πŸ™‚ Putting up the tree was always fun, as well as buying new trimmings each year. I wonder if we still have some of the old ones? I especially like small gift bags filled with toys! Hmm.

There was one time that we didn’t use any of the usual greenΒ artificial christmas trees that families here normally have. Β  I remember a year when we decorated one of our plans that grew a little taller than me, and didn’t have leaves. It really didn’t have leaves, it was just all stems and all green too. I’ll find a photo somewhere and share it someday. I think that was the year I got a pink bike. πŸ™‚
