I saw my girlfriends on Sunday just to catch up and to spend time with Mayeen before her special day. I finally published our photos on Facebook, and I hope that pacifies them for awhile. Although, I should probably dig up photos from Y’s wedding last year because they’re bound to remember that I never shared those to them. Lol 🙂 Di bale, I’ll post them on the couple’s one year wedding anniversary. Haha!

Before the bride and groom arrived though, it was just Arianne, Raech, me and Iskra. Okay, before I arrived, Yrish, her baby Sean and hubby Pao were there too. 🙂 Since I have no baby pics of Sean to show (because I didn’t get to see him in person :(), here are photos of our first baby. Iskra and Mommy Raech. 🙂

This kid has loads of energy! We were together the week before, for dinner at Max’s. She started out with a really bad mood, but then the playground fixed her up until very late that evening. Just when Max’s was about to close, she finally felt hungry. So napa-chocolate cake tuloy kami! 🙂

At Trinoma last Sunday, she was playing with some kid at the Activity Center when they arrived. We trooped to the paid lounge so her mom could try out a dress that Arianne had brought for her and you know what she did while waiting? Wash up! As in she washed her face and arms several times. It looked like she was trying to cool off 🙂 While there, I remembered how, as a kid, I was half scared, half fascinated by the hand dryers in strange big restrooms like that one. Play wasn’t getting myself wet. It was getting wet so I had an excuse to dry off. 🙂

Iskra’s all grown up. She’s in grade school now and I could hardly believe it. To me, she’ll always be this little girl from two years ago:

At the mall yesterday, there was a car display and as usual, they tried to make them seem so affordable. Easy to own.

Among those on display was the Kia Rio:

For PhP25,000, you can bring that baby home. And then pay about PhP16,000++ a month for the next five years. No wonder this car seems to be the next choice for anyone looking at launching a fleet of new taxis. Of course apart from the car mortgage payments, one would have to take out even a cheap car insurance with it too.

Not that I’m looking at buying a brand new car anytime soon. I don’t have to buy one. There’s one here that I could drive anytime I want to (of course I’d have to take over spending for the old car should I decide to actually use it), but I don’t know how to. You see, I don’t drive. I’ve been meaning to learn, but meaning to isn’t the same as getting off my butt and actually signing up for a class and doing it.

Imagine the freedom of having a car and being able to drive yourself anywhere… Hay.

Maybe soon.

Or not.

Guitar Hero Metallica

Have you tried playing it? Guitar Hero Metallica is ?! or should I say, it rocks! 🙂

I actually haven’t been doing much GH lately, but the boyfriend was kind enough to get me the game when he was out to get new ones for himself. Ain’t he sweet? 🙂 And he lets me hog the PS2 just to enjoy it too. Another thing, you know those GH Arcade machines in the mall? He lets me play there too. I think he’s secretly proud of me, haha!

Anyhoo, for those who are back to check for updates on my weight loss diet, things are still going well. The Sexy Chef wasn’t able to deliver food for today because of the systemic blackout everyone in Luzon encountered yesterday due to Typhoon Basyang. But you know what? That wasn’t a problem for me. I had plenty of food left over from the previous day (it was due to my messed up body clock) that I had enough until lunch. After work, I had some shopping to do and bills to pay so we headed out to the mall. There, we had a nice lunch at Kenny Rogers where I had the Hi-Protein meal minus rice and drink. I still took some pictures, but I’m in a rush just now so you’ve got to come back tomorrow for those. 🙂

I am excited to share though, that I got myself another phone! I’ve got the new S phone from My|Phone. It’s a girly phone really, with Swarovski Zirconia for buttons and a Qwerty keypad. I took a photo, also to be shared tomorrow. It’s still cheap, and I have a buyer for my two-month old My|Phone so I’m not really spending much. I swear, this is the last time I’m switching phones at least for a year unless someone else gives me one. 🙂

I also, brace yourselves for this, got to buy myself a dress to wear for my friend’s wedding! This is a big thing, believe me. I haven’t been able to squeeze into a decent dress in a very long time. I’ve attended four weddings in the past year and had to settle for nice tops with my slacks when I really wanted to dress up and be all girly. We were both surprised actually, the boyfriend and I. Haha. But there, I’m not so sure I’ll be posting photos of myself wearing that. I might just keep that private for awhile. 😉

Magic number: 218

218 was actually yesterday’s magic number. A few days before that, it was 222. 🙂

It’s now 18 minutes past 7 in the evening. I should be sound asleep because there’s work tonight. But, as it would be my first day back from my off, my body clock’s still off. It’s like this every week. And I’m really sick of it. 🙁

What I’m not sick og though, is my diet 🙂 Today’s lunch was particularly filling and tasty:

I couldn’t help but swoon at the smell of the boyfriend’s lunch though: Lucban longganiza. I had teeny tiny bit just to satisfy my taste buds. A little cheat goes a loooooong way. 🙂 Brekky was yesterday’s lunchmeat (was supposed to be a snack) with today’s tuna and hardboiled egg. Yum. Oh, I had buco pandan pudding too. Is this really dieting? There’s a funny dilemma tonight too. I don’t know whether to eat the day 5 dinner now, or have it for day 6 breakfast at midnight later? But that would mean I’d have an extra meal and two extra snacks for tomorrow. What a conundrum! Haha 🙂  Ang laki naman ng problema ko, lol!

Last night’s dinner was so yummy too, promise! As soon as I opened the container marked Korean Beef Stew, I could smell it and it just intensified when I heat it in the microwave. The side dish was a cucumber salad that had a bit of sweetness in it. I’ve always liked having cucumber in vinegar, but this one was something else.

On Sunday, I was out with my girlfriends. I had to eat dinner at home though before meeting up with them. Good thing too because being full was the only way I could have resisted all those yummy food, including the cakes at the coffee shop we stayed in. I have pictures from there (of my friends, not of the cake!) but I’ve again no time to post those. Gotta hop on the Orbitrac again, I did 8 minutes yesterday! 🙂

Today was a Full Day

How many hours can you actually fit into a work day? I have had such a looooong day. I don’t mean that to be negative though. 🙂

I’m just dropping in to report that Day 2 food was so good. The only downside is that one of the snacks is just some cashew nuts. Not filling, so I was hungry for lunch earlier than what would have been optimal. Snack 2 was Kani salad. I feel like this will really work, especially once I start with the exercise/walking. I’ve set the start date for additional physical activity on Monday morning. This afternoon though, I did get to walk a bit. I still receive reviews of various weight loss programs, including those like this nuphedragen review, someone even mentioned that I try Maggie (or maybe it’s Magi), an appetite suppressant.  I’m wary about taking any type of diet pills though, unless a doctor actually prescribes them to me.

So I had lunch at work which is not news, but since the boyfriend and I were going somewhere after my shift, he brought my dinner to me too. It was both yummy and colorful:

While I finished my shift and this filling dinner, the boyfriend was waiting for me at MIP – it’s a food/drinking spot right across our office building. One of our teams was there drinking and since he knew some of them from when he still worked there, he hung out with them and drank a few bottles too many. Lol. He took a photo of some of those left too, but I’m hesitant to post it! Haha. 🙂

Today we also bid goodbye to Maxine and handed her over to her new owner. I’ve known him awhile and know that she will be in good hands. I also know that she will continue taking photos of kids, this time two little girls and their adventures!

With Maxine’s departure, can a new camera not be far behind?

His name’s ViKtor and he’s a Nikon D5000. We didn’t get time to get acquainted with him though. Alfred had to go home, and as for me, I had to blog. I’m sure ViK will get much exposure soon though. The loveteam of ViK and Deena. 😉
