Zune and the Wet Outdoors

This is our current desktop background, a photo of a clean Zune looking out from his doggie door:

The desktop template is courtesy of Jennilyn Designs, using her collab kit with Misty Cato.

I had tried to take Zune out for his morning walk just a couple of minutes ago. I say tried because I didn’t really succeed. You see, our little Zune has a thing about wet pavement – he doesn’t want to walk on them.

No matter how excited he is to actually go out, once the door is opened and he sees water – he would get to a dead stop.

It had been raining last night and the road is still wet. Today, I carried him down our front steps upto a dry spot. He walked a little, and then stopped to pee next to a parked car. He peed a lot. Then he walked about five paces and then stopped. And then didn’t budge again, no matter how much coaxing I did. I had to carry him back in!

Then he refused to walk the rest of the way home from the gate to our door. I guess he could see the puddles in front of my cousin’s door. I carried him again up our steps where he refused to walk the two paces to get inside the house. There were puddles of water right outside our door, you see. It took a lot of willpower, but I got him to come in on his own.

Now, he’s running back and forth inside the house.

One for the Font Addicts!

I was bloghopping and freebie hunting and came across this video from Beth Nixon:

I still haven’t found a way to organize the many fonts I’ve amassed. Haven’t even re-installed any of them since my PC was fixed. This video sure reminded me that I needed to work on that too.

Scrapbook Saturday – #3: Journey

Scrapbook Saturday

Here I am, posting my first on-time Scrapbook Saturday. Woohoo! (Click on the button to go to the SS Headquarters)

I mentioned in yesterday’s post that this was going to be different from my previous entries. This is the first time I am ever scrapping a layout inspired by a movie that Alfred and I went to see. (Click the image to read the journalling)

Wish I had thought about doing this a long time ago. If I had, I’d have a huge album filled with movie layouts from those we went to on our first year dating. I just hope that this is something that I’d be able to continue doing – scrapping what each movie meant to me, or whatever it had me thinking, or feeling. Or who I saw it with.

I hope you liked it. Please do visit other SS participants, okay? 🙂

It was bound to get better right?

My Thursday didn’t start out all too well – woke up at 4am with a mild headache that progressed to a migraine. I couldn’t go back to sleep no matter how many times I changed from one sofa to another and then to my own bed. I twisted and turned, used a massager, closed my eyes, relaxed and tried to meditate. After three more hours of interrupted sleep and a lot of pain, I gave in to the call of the meds. It took an hour or two before I was pain-free – but far from comfortable, I could still feel it lurking.

I had given in and called Alfred too after 2 days of not talking. I was left alone at home by then, and I don’t do alone too well when I’m sick. I didn’t have to ask, he volunteered to come over and he even brought food – chicken curry that his mom cooked. What an angel! Angel 2

And though I still wasn’t feeling a hundred percent this afternoon, I went back to work and spread the virus. Runny Nose Uhm-hmm, me and my runny nose were back in the office, and this time we actually spent the whole nine hours there, versus the previous day’s six.

So it wasn’t a bad day after all. Really, it’s not how it started, but how it ends.

On another note, seems that for this Scrapbook Saturday, I will actually be posting on time and with a new layout at that. I started working on a layout the other day and I just have some finishing touches and journalling to add to it. It’ll be very different from the two layouts I’ve already posted.

Anyway, I’m off to do some reading about Joomla because I’m thinking of using it for future projects.
