MM: American Idol’s Lee DeWyze – You’re still The One

Here’s a much delayed post for Music Monday:

I missed Idol last week, but thanks to a friend on FB, I get to listen to Lee’s wonderful rendition of You’re Still The One. Could be better than the original 🙂 It’s the same feeling I got when I heard David Cook’s Always Be My Baby.

Glee – Madonna, Like a Prayer

I hope you’re not tired of my Glee videos yet 🙂

No time to make arrangements for the giveaway just now. Hopefully I can announce it tomorrow 🙂

Thanks to BC Bloggers who have dropped by for the party! 🙂

Glee: Defying Gravity

I’d seen Episode 9 (Wheels) before on TV, but since I’m going through Season 1 of Glee online, I didn’t mind seeing Wheels again. And I really liked the song Defying Gravity. I didn’t know what the musical Wicked was about so I did a search about it and just now found out that it was about the Wicked Wizard/s of Oz. I would have loved to see that show. It was also used as the anthem for the Gay Pride Parade in Los Angeles in 2007. I got all this from Wikipedia.

But what I would have loved more, was if Kurt didn’t intentionally miss the high F and got the part. So anyway, here is the studio version of Rachel and Kurt singing Defying Gravity.

Don’t forget to tell what you think about my upcoming giveaway!

Music Monday – Glee Cast Live at the White House

I’ve recently been hooked on Glee. I want to watch it from the start of season 1. I’d love to have all their songs too! haha.

It’s good to know that they sound just as good when they perform live.

And don’t Puck and Mr. Schue look cute here? 🙂

Okay, I can’t help myself. Here’s one more video. This time of a cast member who hasn’t got as much exposure as the other soloists:

Now, this is the last one. They performed this at the White House too but the sound was crappy. So this one’s from their performance at the Oprah show. Some of the comments on YouTube were really bashing Cory, but I really think he didn’t do too bad. Of course there are better singers than him and the other cast members are more powerful than he is, but he really isn’t that bad.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my Glee themed Music Monday!

Now, before you hop on to other MM entries today, I just want to know: who’s attending the iBlog event this weekend? I haven’t thought of going before, but now I’m kinda really interested.

Black Saturday Marathon: The Good Wife

Today, I got acquainted with a show from CBS that started airing late last year: The Good Wife, starring Julianna Margulies. The Hallmark channel had a Good Wife marathon this afternoon and I was able to catch a few episodes.

I don’t have the full story for why Alicia’s (Margulies) former DA husband is in prison, but the series revolves around how she is trying very hard to stand by her husband. This despite the scandalous affair that he had, and the controversies thrown at him, including being a corrupt public servant.

It is about a woman who tries to keep her family together while she restarts a career in a big law firm. It’s different from the other lawyer series that I’ve enjoyed watching in the past (Ally McBeal, The Practice); I can’t explain why though, hehe. I would like to watch more of this series. 🙂 Check out The Good Wife.

This is the first year in a long time that I’ve watched a different TV show on Black Saturday. Every year at Holy Week, for many years, Studio 23 has shown marathons of the Seventh Heaven  TV series. We’d go through an entire season in two days. This year, there was no 7th Heaven. I guess it’s because the series is already over. 🙁

My mom’s monopolized the PC all afternoon. Here I am sneaking in a post through my dad’s netbook. Can’t help thinking about the iPad and how it would be awesome for bloghopping. Anyhoo, I gotta go, my nephew needs some fish food for his fish tank. We can’t let the fish go hungry now!

What’s your favorite TV show these days?
