Save with Ensogo

Online shopping and saving with coupons is not yet widely known or used in this country. But there’s a new service in town that combines online e-commerce and coupon deals for the Pinoy that is slowly changing this. Enter Ensogo.

From the FAQ page of their site, they say that ENSOGO stands for: ENtertainment SOcial and GO. There is no fee to sign up for Ensogo and yet you will be in for a lot of savings. They ensure the best deals and prices for the merchants and even have a 30-day guarantee for them. Only one deal at a time is available for purchase so it’s vital to take advantage of the offer as soon as you hear about them.

Paypal, Bancnet ATM, and over-the-counter bank payments are accepted. I prefer paying with my Paypal balance because to me it feels practically free that way, there’s no need to touch my budget and salary 🙂

Since signing up, I have bought in to two of their offers:

I haven’t used this one yet but I got two vouchers for a total of five hundred pesos, and it is good for a thousand peso value. What it means is that we can dine at Chef’s Bistro (not too far from where I live) and we’ll only have to pay for what goes over a thousand pesos. 🙂

For this deal (still active as of this writing), I got three vouchers and paid 450 pesos in total. Each voucher is valued at 600 pesos. That’s one voucher for each of the vehicles in this household. Of course I asked my dad first if this was something he could use and he said yes.

I missed out on a pretty great deal for EZ Grow which would have been good for hair and scalp. I’ve had hairfall problems again lately and notice that my hair’s getting thinner. The featured product earlier this week would have been the perfect solution. Oh well.

I almost forgot, another wonderful thing about Ensogo is that 3% of the purchases from the site are donated to the charity Children’s Hour.

So head on over to Ensogo and sign up under my link and help me win an iPad while you’re at it 🙂

Goodbye my S Phone?

It was only three months ago, before my birthday, when I boasted about getting a new phone: the My|Phone S Phone. Since then, I have loved it and it has amazed everyone whose seen it for the first time. First, people would notice it’s size, and would hardly believe it was a phone. They all would say that they thought it was a compact, make-up. Almost everyone would like to touch and it and check it out themselves. And I would always be so proud to indulge them.

I love my S Phone!

This is approximately the actual size of the phone!

I also remember saying that I won’t be switching to a new phone for the rest of the year, unless someone else gives me one.

Uhm. Well.

Technically, I didn’t buy a new phone. I got one as part of the new Globe plan I signed up for yesterday: a Blackberry Curve!

I would have preferred the red one (and there’s allegedly a purple one in Greenhills) but it’s only available for those availing of the promo using their HSBC credit cards. Bummer. The boyfriend might switch to this too though, so we’ll ask a friend for help to sign up for it just so we could get the red one. haha. 🙂 If you think about it, it was a Blackberry envy that got me to buy my first qwerty phone earlier this year, the myPhone Qt22. And now I finally got one.

I haven’t played around with it yet, I will this afternoon. Anyone using BB and care to exchange BBM pins (not that I know how to use that yet!)? 😀

Sooo, I am reluctant, but I may have to sell my S phone. I’ll mark it down to 4,000 pesos. Anyone interested?

Melissa Shoes

Melissa is my new favorite brand of shoes 🙂

I’ve gone the jelly shoes route before, with my Grendha Pop Flocked flats, and then this year, another pair with low heels.

When I heard of Melissa, and saw their designs, I simply felt compelled to get one pair. I had my sights on the Little Prince line. Now I have two:

Doesn’t it just look awesome? Quite comfy too, once you’re used to wearing elevated shoes. Haha. I would have loved a red or purple one, but that would be too rad for a simple girl like me. Got my pair from the Geleia store in Trinoma last week.

Then I learned about a Melissa sale at ABS-CBN yesterday and I just had to check it out. Though I was off work Friday afternoon, I dragged the boyfriend there with me. He’s all for me getting a second pair, this time flats. He understood how I needed to retire my Grendha flats (it’s quite worn out already). Besides these plastic shoes can be used everywhere! I won’t even be scared to use it when it rains, it can be washed easily!

It was hard to decide which pair to get, specially since sizes and stocks were limited.

That one’s an Ultragirl Vazada with a glossy finish, and sling back. The Ultragirl Tinkerbell would have been my preferred design, but it wasn’t included in the sale. This one was so tempting. But this Adanna also got me thinking:

But it was this one that prevailed. It was the most comfortable among the ones I tried. Seriously. And it suits my wide feet better. I would have loved it in purple, but they didn’t have my size in that color. A bronze one would have been nice too, but they didn’t have those. Red? The boyfriend wouldn’t have it, lol. 🙂

It’s called the Night III. This is possibly the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever owned. And I got them at over 30% off regular price 🙂

When was the last time you went shoe shopping?

It was raining while we were at ABS, and we checked out the other stores at the Christmas tiangge. One booth was selling slimming coffee. I’d heard of it before and read about it in some fat burner reviews. I didn’t get any though, because the seller completely covered whatever information there was in the original packaging. All they had there were promotional material, I couldn’t see any of the nutritional facts one would normally look at when buying any boxed goods. Grr.

When we finally got on a cab on our way to our second destination for the afternoon, I realized that I was going to miss that place when I finally leave. I’ll be starting work at a new company next month, see. I’ll be missing The Loop, my favorite bookshop, the frozen yogurt, BDO, among other things and people I’ll be missing from the company I’ve been with for five and a half years. Sigh. But there are exciting things to look forward to as well. So, no time to fret. 🙂

Christmas Wish List

Indeed, it is that time of the year again. They say Pinoys celebrate Christmas the longest. As soon, as the ‘Ber’ months start rolling in, you’d hear Christmas carols played in malls or over the radio. Decorations start getting sold, trees go up in some houses and establishments. And, for the young and old alike, wish lists are made and revisited several times until the season ends.

What’s on my list? Let’s just talk about the material here, none of those wishes for world peace, good health and all that. Just a personal wish list for gifts. Smile Either a Fuji Instax, or a Polaroid printer. A TLR, the Gakkenflex maybe, for more lomo love. A new pair of trainers, for when I’d go to the gym, or for walking (the Adidas Fluid or Bounce, or whatever, seem good choices). A Fossil purse/wallet to replace my huge wallet that’s falling apart after a year or so of abuse. The Tinkerbell flats from Melissa (although I just bought the Little Prince pumps so I can’t really spend for this one, if it’s a present though then why not). I’m sure there are a couple of things I’ve forgotten.

gakkenflexinstax

On the boyfriend’s list, he has a new pair of rubber shoes too, and it’s most definitely going to be an Adidas. He also wants another pair of shoes from Vans. Then there’s the SB600 Nikkor flash that he’s been pining for. Wait, is this really it? I swear his list was longer! Oh well.

What’s missing from both our lists are anything computer or gadget related. No upgrades for the PC, a replacement laptop, nor netbooks. I find it ironic too. Now that such things are made more affordable, we don’t want them. There was a time when we’d always talk about needing upgrades for the PC, or getting a netbook for mobile computing. The iPad serves what we would normally want a netbook for. And the PC at home is close to the ideal that we want (well as close as current budgets would allow) so we’re not wanting in that department. Smile

I don’t know whether to be happy or sad about the boyfriend promising to take care of more than one item on my list this year. I should be happy that I’d be getting the gifts I want. But part of me feels that he shouldn’t be spending his money on those, I’d rather we save up what little extra money we have. But then again, why would I stop him from showering me with gifts? Basta he shouldn’t expect me to spend a lot of money on his gifts! Haha! I’ll save for the two of us Winking smile

What about you, what’s on your list this Christmas?

At least it’d be shorter, no? Alfred and I have been comparing our lists, we both have camera gear there, a pair of trainers. I have two types of cameras I’d like to get, a Sony TX5 and a Fuji Instamax. Then I need a new wallet too and there’s one from Fossil that I really really like. Not sure if we’re getting new clothes this Christmas. I’ll probably not because I’m shooting for a slimmer body haha 🙂 But for the boyfriend, maybe giving him a pair of rocawear jeans would be a good idea. Hmm…

Going back to Faye’s Giveaway, be sure to check it out for yourself and join up! Don’t get your hopes up too high for first prize though, that’s going to be mine! 🙂
