Zune

Zune and the Wet Outdoors

This is our current desktop background, a photo of a clean Zune looking out from his doggie door:

I had tried to take Zune out for his morning walk just a couple of minutes ago. I say tried because I didn’t really succeed. You see, our little Zune has a thing about wet pavement – he doesn’t want to walk on them.

No matter how excited he is to actually go out, once the door is opened and he sees water – he would get to a dead stop.

It had been raining last night and the road is still wet. Today, I carried him down our front steps upto a dry spot. He walked a little, and then stopped to pee next to a parked car. He peed a lot. Then he walked about five paces and then stopped. And then didn’t budge again, no matter how much coaxing I did. I had to carry him back in!

Then he refused to walk the rest of the way home from the gate to our door. I guess he could see the puddles in front of my cousin’s door. I carried him again up our steps where he refused to walk the two paces to get inside the house. There were puddles of water right outside our door, you see. It took a lot of willpower, but I got him to come in on his own.

Now, he’s running back and forth inside the house.

Visiting San Benissa

I’m not sure why I didn’t take pictures. The camera was sitting in my bag the whole time.

My parents and I, and then later my brother and his girlfriend, went to San Benissa Garden Villas for the orientation for condo owners in the new community. It’s the property that I am now proud owner of. Oh okay, it isn’t fully mine but I am paying for it. My brother and I own a unit each and we both took out loans for it that we pay for monthly.

The units have been ready for months, we just haven’t had the chance to take care of it. We will either live in it, or rent it out. Either way, we would need to fix it up. My bro, who is far more thrifty than I am, can afford to spruce it up. I can’t.

I’ve found one reason not to move in myself: no dogs allowed. What?!

They said that they would allow visits, but the dog has to be carried to the unit and can stay for long. If we took Zune there and walked him through the streets for his daily walks – they would have us reported. Tsk. Dad says they’ll just bring Zune to us from time to time, and we could also visit him here. No. I don’t think so.

Leona on Idol, and Zune’s getting better :)

Leona Lewis was on Idol this week.

Bleeding Love isn’t my favorite but she is a great performer and a talented singer so I still enjoyed seeing her there. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful song but it just doesn’t showcase her vocal range much. I’ve only really ‘heard her’ through Music Messenger and I really liked her in the other songs I heard. I didn’t really love the original, but her version of A Moment Like This got me stop working when I heard it. It got me thinking whether it was her original!

Too bad Carly’s been eliminated; that leaves Syesha as the last of the power house singers among the girls (Ramielle and Carly being the two others). It was such a shock that Brooke was able to hang on, but good for her too because she gets to have a chance to redeem herself next week.

I would be heartbroken (hehe) to see Jason Castro go when his time comes – I like him but I don’t think he’s top two material. But I am not America so I may be wrong again.

Zune has not been well this week, but he is better today. He’s running in and out again, and he’s been barking at strangers coming to our door again. Looking forward to him getting better still so he can take a bath! We took him to the vet on Wednesday morning and I was touched that the doctor sent me a text message just now checking up on him. How sweet!
