Ace Water Spa for only 299!

The Entry Fee at Ace Water Spa is normally priced at 550 pesos per adult, but at CashCashPinoy, they are offering discount coupons so you can get it at only 299 pesos! That is a steal!

The first and last time I was there was in 2008 – a very long time ago. Alfred hasn’t been there at all and the discounted price is a very good reason to make the trip happen. I’ll be buying at least four coupons!

Those will be just for the boyfriend and myself. I think Mom would probably ask for a couple of coupons for them too so she and Dad could take Esban back there at a discounted fee too. 🙂

I think it’s wonderful that sites like this are available in the Philippines now. There’s another one, Ensogo, that I’ve signed up for too. I bought coupons from there but haven’t used them yet. I’m thinking of giving the two coupons for Chef’s Bistro to Mom and Dad as a birthday gift for Dad.  Alfred and I were supposed to use them for our anniversary dinner the other day but we decided to eat somewhere else. Hmm…

Do you like getting deals like this? Sign up for CashCashPinoy, and also for Ensogo!

iPad now Officially in Manila!

Saw this on my mailbox today (although it’s been sitting there for a few days already):

I checked out the prices and I’m still happy to see that I got my 32g at a very reasonable price, 2k off the published PH prices. 🙂

So what is it to me that the iPad is officially here? It means that my worldwide limited warranty is acceptable here too! Yay! 🙂

Head over to Between the Covers where I have several iPad-related posts…

I’ll be having a brief break for Christmas after all, from the evening of the 23rd to 25th. Back to work on Sunday the 26th, and that’s just fine. This means I’m at work for New Year’s though. That was my choice. Not so bad since I won’t have to be at work until after the fireworks, at 3am. Pwede pa rin mag sing-all-you-can videoke! 🙂

On some sad news… Alfred’s grandmother didn’t survive til Christmas. She passed away at around 5am yesterday. Thank you for your prayers.

Staple-free Stapler

Have you ever heard of such a thing? Sorry, but this is the first time I’d ever heard of it. I was going through Oprah.Com again (still couldn’t get over her favorite things for 2010) and this was among their suggestions for stocking stuffers  –

The site didn’t offer much of a description as to how this actually works, but a quick search with Bing led me to this. It’s really interesting to use the papers to hold themselves together. The downside is having that U hole, but as long as it doesn’t hit any of your letters that ain’t so bad really.

Is this available on this side of the world? I want one!

This one from Amazon looks PINK to me, but it says its purple. Whatev, I still want it! 🙂

Kotex Luxe

I don’t mean to gross anyone out, but I guarantee that this post has been sanitized, and completely hygienic. If you’d rather not read about sanitary napkins though, feel free to move on to my next post. Oprah’s Favorite Things might just be a more interesting post for you 🙂

Yesterday at Between the Covers, I mentioned a trip to the grocery and the mall on Sunday morning. What I didn’t share there was this other luxe item I bought.

The bag doesn’t look like packaging for a sanitary napkin does it? But it is.  Kotex was my brand of choice years ago, specifically their Kotex White. It’s comparable to Modess I guess, only better. But they stopped production, or I just don’t see it in groceries anymore. I do remember asking my brother one time to get two pack of that brand for me, from Glo-ri Supermarket at Tandang Sora. He picked me up from work (then at Luzon Avenue) after I’d bled through my pants. Yuck. (Anyone grossed out yet?)

So anyway…. I’d seen the Luxe line awhile bag, but this is new packaging, and I must admit that it looks really nice.

The back view shows the pad designs in a bigger scale. My first reaction upon learning that the pads had designs: what would you need designer pads for? The answer – you don’t need them. These pads are not what you’d call necessities. They belong in the category of things that are “nice to have.” Not to mention, these cost more than your average pad.

But the individual wrap is violet! Nice 🙂

And the pads are really Ultrathin, much like the Modess Ultrathins designed for heavy flow. These aren’t extra long though, just regular sized.

I’d expected the print to be more colorful, but they’re quite light really. Not sure if they’re like diapers that will look different when ‘wet.’

I used this product today and it’s quite comfortably and you almost forget you had one on. I’m at the tail end of my period so I wouldn’t know how it would stand my regular to heavy flow days, but it looks promising really. Still, I think I’d stick with Modess for my regular pads, specially with the Sulit pack that allows for some savings. But like I said, it wouldn’t hurt to use these from time to time, specially when you need to tote them in a bag when you go out.

The Ultimate Brush

Seen this commercial?

Today was the first time I’d even heard of it. We went shopping at The Duty Free Shop today (Mom just came back from London yesterday), and this was one of the goodies we brought home. We got two, one each for me and Mom. I didn’t know it was a Paris Hilton product. I just liked its shape and its color and it was in a goodie bag with two more items in it and priced reasonably, it’s like the brush was a freebie.

I tried using it already and its nice to use. It’s supposedly volumizing, and helps dry wet hair faster because of it’s shape.

Anyhoo. This must have been our biggest shopping foray at The Duty Free shop ever. We bought so much, a lot of the items were mine, which means a huge bill next month. Haha. I’ll share with the other items we bought next time. There were no peacock alley linens in our grocery cart though, no pillows (though they were marked down too), not even a set of beddings. But there is, of course, goodies I can use for baking 🙂
